Located on the island of Ekerö, just west of central Stockholm, site offers a unique natural setting with direct proximity to the water and expansive views toward Lake Mälaren. The plot is sloping, bordered by mature trees, creating a peaceful and secluded atmosphere.The hillside setting also provides opportunities for framed views, natural drainage, and a layered outdoor experience, blending architecture with the site’s natural rhythms. A low retaining wall built from local cobblestones was introduced to anchor the building and mediate the level changes across the site.

The floor plan is centered around a spacious open living area, where the kitchen, dining, and lounge come together to form the social heart of the home. Bedrooms are efficiently arranged along two sides, allowing for a wide glazed façade that opens onto the terrace, extending the living space outdoors and creating a seamless connection between interior life and the surrounding landscape. A gently sloped roof enhances the vertical volume of the central space, making it feel bright, open, and filled with natural light.
